Wayne Rooney Man Utd Future Uncertain Again as Agent Spotted Holding Talks With Jose Mourinho.

As readily as night replaces day, Wayne Rooney’s protracted “will he or won’t he stay?” saga at Manchester United has cropped up in British media reports once again.

The latest report comes from the Daily Mirror, who spotted the striker’s agent – Paul Stretford – leaving the city centre hotel that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has been residing him throughout his maiden campaign in charge.

The images, which show Stretford looking deep in thought, have led the Mirror to claim that Rooney’s future at Old Trafford is up in the air again, and that his departure from the 20-time English top flight champions is only a matter of time from coming to fruition.

Rooney has been linked with a return to boyhood club Everton throughout the season, while a possible move to the Chinese Super League – with its promise of a staggering wage packet – has also been mooted by the media.

Stretford was seen leaving the Lowry Hotel moments before Mourinho also emerged, and gave a huge hint that the 31-year-old’s future at United had been discussed at length by the duo.

Rooney, who is contracted to the club until the summer of 2019, has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth in Mourinho’s first choice lineup during the 2016/17 campaign, and his frustrations will not have been helped by United’s massive 2-0 defeat to Arsenal last Sunday.
